One day, Chuang Tzu and one disciple were walking on a mountain and saw a massive tree with thick branches and lush leaves.

A woodcutter was walking toward the tree. After examining it for a while, he made no move to cut it and was about to pack his equipment to leave.

Do you have clarity on your life’s path?

Chuang Tzu approached to ask the woodcutter for the reason for not taking it down. The woodcutter replied that judging from his experience, the tree was useless. Then, Chuang Tzu said that the tree could live out its years peacefully because of its worthlessness.
